The Evolution of Camouflage

Special OPS™ Paintball Announces New OMNIPAT Camouflage Pattern
Until now, Special OPS has only offered our own Woodland Digi (SpecOPS Digi), and ACU camouflage patterns on our outdoor performance clothing lines. Both patterns work great in specific environments. However, we have recognized a real need for a camouflage pattern that works well in a diverse variety of terrains and situations. Hence our OMNIPAT pattern is born: a digital collage of shapes and color fades, specifically engineered to blend with nature and confuse the eye.
Camouflage has always been at the heart of SpecOPS' woodsball philosophy. It's one of the most integral parts of outdoor paintball. The ability to stalk and attack your opponents without them seeing you is a huge factor in the outcome of any paintball game or competition. The right paintball camouflage can give any player or team a dramatic advantage over their opponents. It's important that your camouflage matches your environment.
Special OPS' OMNIPAT camouflage is the best solution for anybody looking to blend-in with multiple terrains of varying foliage. OMNIPAT works great in nearly all natural environments. Look for unique features such as: cross fading patterns and specific color tones that Special OPS has honed through field tests.
Over 6 months in development has finally earned OMNIPAT the prestigious "Battle Tested" stamp of approval reserved for Special OPS' highest quality products. In the recent 2007 SPPL Finals our OMNIPAT Pattern was fielded by one of the teams, Forest Demons, resulting in dramatically positive feedback from both the team as well as their opponents. One SPPL photographer was quoted as saying "I finally gave up trying to photograph the OMNIPAT team. They were just too difficult to follow!"
OMNIPAT will be initially offered in Special OPS' Fusion 7 and Fusion Ultralite lines, Dagger Vests, Broadsword Vests, Operative Vests, Headwraps, and Mask Covers.

Testimonials
"I started playing back in 1986 and camo has always been essential to my gameplay. Good camo is a big way to get an advantage on your opponent. What blew me away with OMNIPAT was my ability to stalk my opponents in total stealth. I had an instance where I was stalking someone in the open and turned to look right at me. It was like "He sees me... but he doesn't SEE ME!" It was incredible!
I can say, with 100% certainty, that this is the best camo my team has ever worn!"
– Dan Bonebrake (Forest Demons)
"In the latter stages of OMNIPAT's development, I had the opportunity to take part in a demonstration by Brian 'MOATI' Russell and Chad 'CORONER' Monsen, (chief developers of OMNIPAT). The demonstration consisted of draping equal sized swaths of various camouflage patterns on bushes, weeds, dirt, grass, and trees, in light areas, shadowy areas, and direct sunlight. We then observed from 30 feet away, 15 feet away, and just a few feet away.
The results were unbelievable. OMNIPAT was the clear leader over Woodland Digi (SpecOPS Digi), MARPAT, ACU, Real Tree, and the other camouflage patterns in the demonstration. It performs very similarly to Multicam from Crye Precision; conforming, blending, and virtually disappearing in any lighting situation.
I, for one, will be switching my entire camo wardrobe to OMNIPAT over the next year."
